Louis Peter Re Jr., MD.
Dr. Re is a Fellowship Trained Shoulder Surgeon specializing in Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Shoulder, Repairs and Revisions of Complex Rotator Cuff Tears, and Shoulder Replacement Surgery
Dr. Re completed his residency in the Department of Orthopaedics, Yale University School of Medicine and completed the Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He has published several research projects involving shoulder and knee reconstructions.
Besides surgery, in the office he offers various forms of Ultrasound Guided Injection Treatments including Viscosupplementation and PRP Stem Cell Injections. He is an expert using the Ultrasound Machine to diagnose injuries and guide treatment injections.
He has been a Clinical Instructor when he was at Yale, an Assistant Clinical Professor, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is currently Clinical Instructor, Shoulder Reconstruction and Arthroscopy Lenox Hill Hospital. He has been voted teacher of the year twice and is currently continuing to investigate the outcome of Graft Reconstruction for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears.
As a tennis player and skier, Dr. Re has been a patient as well as caregiver. He has a unique perspective because of this. Ask him about his meniscus tear and his rotator cuff injury.
Dr. Re is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.
